Best Buy Auto Leasing LLC ("Best Buy Auto Leasing," "we," "us") is a licensed and bonded New York automobile broker. This policy explains what information we collect through bestbuyleasing.com, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on our site, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, and details about a vehicle you're interested in, trading in, selling, or buying out — such as year, make, model, mileage, condition, accident history, title status, and any notes you add.
Vehicle identification numbers. If you enter a VIN so we can identify your vehicle automatically, your browser sends that VIN directly to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's public vehicle database (vPIC) to look up the year, make, and model. Only the VIN is sent — no personal information goes with it.
Information collected automatically. Our website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and the time of each request.
What we do NOT do. Our website does not set cookies. We do not run website analytics, and we do not use advertising or social-media tracking pixels. We do not track you across other websites.
Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. As a result, Google receives your IP address when a page loads. We do not send Google any other information about you.
How we use your information
We use what you provide to:
- respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about it;
- source, negotiate, and place a vehicle lease, finance, or purchase transaction on your behalf;
- arrange delivery, registration, and related paperwork;
- send you marketing and promotional emails about our services (see "Your choices" below);
- keep records of our transactions and communications; and
- operate, maintain, and improve our business.
How we share your information
Dealers and lenders. This is the core of what we do. To find and place your deal, we share the information necessary to obtain quotes, approvals, and terms with automobile dealers and lending institutions.
Service providers. We use third-party companies to run our business, and information passes through them:
- HubSpot — our customer relationship management system, where form submissions and contact records are stored.
- Mailchimp — sends our marketing and promotional emails; your name and email address are stored there for that purpose.
- Zapier and Slack — used internally to alert our team promptly when a new inquiry arrives.
- Google Workspace — our business email.
- PayPal — processes payments made through our site.
- Vercel — hosts our website.
Credit applications are submitted on a third-party site. Our credit application is not hosted on bestbuyleasing.com. When you choose to apply, we link you to a third-party platform (xDesk) operated independently of us. Information you provide there — which may include your Social Security number, income, employment, and housing information — is collected by that platform under its own terms and privacy practices, not through our website. We encourage you to review its disclosures before submitting.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information where we believe it is required by law, regulation, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect our rights, our customers, or others.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing.
Payments
Payments made on our site are processed by PayPal using PayPal's own hosted checkout. Your card and bank details are entered on PayPal's system and are never received or stored by Best Buy Auto Leasing. Your payment is governed by PayPal's terms and privacy policy.
How we protect and keep information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including access controls on the systems where customer records are stored. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it. We retain contact and transaction records for as long as we maintain a relationship with you, and afterward for our business and record-keeping purposes. If you would like us to delete your information, contact us at info@bestbuyleasing.com and we will do so unless we are required to retain it.
Your choices
- Marketing email. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@bestbuyleasing.com and ask to be removed. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop communications about an active deal or inquiry.
- Access, correction, and deletion. Email info@bestbuyleasing.com or call (718) 701-8603 to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion.
- Text messages. We do not currently operate an SMS or text-message program.
Children
Our website is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the Effective Date at the top of this page.
